Ten Years of Federated Wiki

We launched this project on Jun 25, 2011 at IndieWeb Camp with a first commit defining goals for a client, a server and the overall experience. github

We called it Smallest Federated Wiki then because we thought we could get a working prototype in a weekend.

A year later we had a pretty good version that we moved to its own org and dropped any claim about being small.

We've always resisted push protocols figuring your stuff should remain yours and stay the way you left it while you are away. Mike Caulfield shows how a creative commons can still emerge when we share openly.
