In a one day workshop in advance of the 2009 Agile conference design professionals met with agile software developers to explore ways that their respective roles could fit together under the agile umbrella.

Both structured and unstructured conversations failed to lead to a new "manifesto" such as the one that emerged in a similar event several years before.
Unsure of what progress had been made, I suggested that we all take a turn at completing the sentence, "Today I learned ...". The learnings were recorded on a flip chart which encouraged more reflection. Then participants were ask to volunteer telling their story to the camera. I edited and published this in time for sharing at the conference the remainder of the week.
